This game was created for the gamedevtv May 2022 game jam
The theme was: Death is only the beginning
The game is a standard 2D platformer with turrets, spikes, wall hops, and jump pads. What makes it unique is when you die, your corpse remains and you can interact with it. Corpses can be used to hold down buttons, provide cover from turrets, and create bridges over spikes.

Install instructions
If you just want to play, extract the zip file and run Sacrificial.exe
The source files are included in the Project Files folder. I also included the sound and music asset links and base files.

Fast-paced, corpse jumping, spiky death action! Very smooth movement, to the point where it can be difficult to use precision where it's needed. For some reason when I tried using a controller, the game used the right stick for movement instead of the left, so I couldn't both move and jump or interact at the same time with it. Using the keyboard had no issues, so I was able to finish the game without too much trouble!
